LEAVING A LEGACY FOR OUR CHILDREN.

The word of God says that  the righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him.

Oh that their heart may be inclined to fear me, and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever.

The following questions come to my mind as we share in  preparing the children for the future (Destiny)

(a)  What are our core values?
(b)  What are we willing to die for?
(c)   What do we desire for our children? ( Fame, protection, etc…)
(d)   Do we pray for them to be called into the ministry of stewardship and walk in the truth?

The following may sound morbid but it is real for man is born only to die later.

Have you ever imagined your funeral with your children, family and friends looking down  at  you?

What would be the greatest testimony of the people who know you best?

Now is the time to reset our goals and priorities.

We must never embark on things we cannot control e.g. We could have desires for our children but cannot set  life goals for them or anyone  except for ourselves.

We have goals for ourselves but desires for our children. We must never give up on any child no matter how challenging he might be. Always remember that we cannot live our children’s lives for them though  they  come through us and we are temporarily responsible for them. We cannot even persuade them to accept our love though we love  them so much.

The school is the first contact a child has with the world. The world is full of rules and regulations. The school is there to teach the child about this world full of rules and how to survive in it.

Our Legacy or exhortation will be to expose them to building a disciplined mind, confidence in God and you ( as they grow) and teach  them the importance of a life of honour  and  integrity.

The question is : what Legacy are you  preparing to leave them?

Thank you for believing in us.
